Volunteering
Would you like to volunteer with us? Great!
The needs are diverse: Garden projects, neighborhood walks, simply chatting in German, homework help for students, support in finding apprenticeships and jobs, childcare, accompaniment to authorities, doctors, etc., „Folder Project“ (document organization), support for people with physical or mental impairments, leisure activities for youth, individual help e.g. with house hunting, activities and festivals for residents, starting a new neighborhood circle, ….
You decide the time frame yourself and also in which area you would like to support.

Support & Help
The UFU provides support in many ways. A few examples:
- Meet people and exchange ideas. Come to the UFU Stammtisch
- Speak German with others: Visit the Language Cafés in your area
- Speech is silver, but talking is gold. You want to speak German with Germans (native speakers). Then the project „Simply Chatting in German“ is for you
- Sports offers: Then the Move2Gether project is the right one for you!
- I want to learn to swim. We help you with that through our organized swimming courses.
- Find work and apply: I want to apply for a job and need support. Then get in touch with the CV Project.
- I want to be mobile in the city: Then it’s worth visiting the bicycle workshops.
- I need help with documents and official letters. Our Folder Project can help you further
Membership & Sponsoring
Diversity needs allies. Arriving is more than just a place – it is the feeling of being welcome. We support refugees in gaining a foothold in our community, breaking down barriers, and finding new perspectives. Become a member and actively help shape integration.
Or support us as a sponsor so that we can finance important language courses, counseling, and meeting places. Your solidarity is our foundation.
Financial donations, donations in kind, and donations of time are always welcome.
